Please reach me at michelle@compassionateconnections.ca if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Yes, absolutely! I offer a complimentary 15-minute meet and greet. The meet and greet will allow us to connect on-line or on the telephone and answer some of your questions that you may have. We can also discuss my approach and see if we would like to move forward with sessions.
I would like to create an environment where you feel safe and listened to in a non-judgmental way. Over time a therapeutic relationship will evolve, however I have been told that I am compassionate and caring.
I will ask questions about you, your life, what you think are your strengths and what might be challenging you at the moment. During our first couple of sessions, we will create a plan to address what you are struggling with. Together we will set goals for therapy.
During our first session we can talk about online therapy and 'walk & talks' if you are in the Oakville/Burlington area.
A session for an individual is 50-minutes in length and they are generally scheduled every week or two depending on your needs.
Many extended health care plans cover sessions with Registered Psychotherapists (Qualifying). Please contact them directly to inquire about their coverage. You will be provided with a receipt upon payment after your session and you can submit it to your insurance company for reimbursement.
No, you do not require a referral from your doctor. You are free to contact me without a referral. Please feel free to contact Compassionate Connections for a complimentary 15-minute meet and greet!
